Our Vision

What does CreateMe do?

CreateMe designs and builds fully automated manufacturing technologies for the apparel industry. We utilize cutting-edge robotics, digitally-applied adhesives, and proprietary computer vision and machine learning algorithms to completely transform how apparel is made in the 21st century. Our technology makes manufacturing faster, more sustainable, and closer to the consumer, driving better economic and environmental outcomes for brands and manufacturers alike.

How does CreateMe bring change to the Apparel industry?

CreateMe is leading the apparel industry by introducing end-to-end, fully automated production to a sector that has remained largely reliant on manual processes for over 200 years. How apparel is made is fundamentally the same since the invention of the mechanical sewing machine in 1829.

Our technology enables onshore, on-demand apparel manufacturing by combining automation hardware, adhesive seam assembly, and proprietary machine learning/computer vision (ML/CV) algorithms in a unique systems-based approach.

CreateMe's automated assembly techniques use digitally-dispensed adhesive methods at high velocity, achieving cost parity with overseas manual manufacturing today. In the near future, our process will dramatically outperform off-shore labor rates and has the potential to replace much of traditional sewing.

Our Automation Technology

How does CreateMe's bonding technology compare to traditional sewing and seam tape bonding methods?

Traditional sewing and seam tape bonding methods are slow, labor-intensive, and at times inconsistent in quality. Seam tape bonding, in particular, adds bulk and restricts the flexibility of textiles. CreateMe’s bonding technology offers a superior alternative by delivering a soft, lightweight handfeel and clean aesthetics, without compromising the fabric’s original stretch and recovery. Our method is versatile across various fibers, including natural, synthetic, and blended materials, making it highly efficient for a wide range of product categories, replacing traditional thread use in modern apparel.

What are the advantages of manufacturing with CreateMe’s bonding technology?

CreateMe’s digitally-dispensed bonding technology provides several key advantages over traditional sewing and tape bonding. Our process uses sub-millimeter precision, ensuring adhesive is applied exactly where it’s needed, minimizing waste common in traditional methods. This precision enhances garment durability by uniformly bonding seams, reducing weak points for longer-lasting wear.

While a form of manual, dot-based bonding is used today in niche categories (e.g. women’s underwear), CreateMe has automated it in women’s underwear and is ultimately pioneering adoption across all casual apparel production. Our vision is to universally build with digitally bonded seams in place of thread. Our bonding method maintains the traditional look of sewing, preserving the fabric's stretch and recovery properties, while offering all of the performance benefits of adhesive assembly.

How does CreateMe's bonding process improve end garment performance?

CreateMe's bonding process eliminates the stiffness or bulk commonly associated with traditional seams, providing greater flexibility and comfort, particularly in performance wear where freedom of movement is essential. Our technology delivers a soft, lightweight handfeel and breathability, maintaining the fabric’s original stretch and recovery.

Unlike traditional methods, which can compromise the fabric’s flexibility, CreateMe’s bonding process enhances garment comfort without sacrificing durability. Additionally our bonding process is highly versatile across a range of fibers, including natural, synthetic, and blended materials, making it highly suited to multiple product categories — from activewear, to luxury, to casual apparel.

What are the limitations of the use of CreateMe's bonding technology?

CreateMe has extensively tested its technology across 90+ fabrics, including both organic and synthetic materials. While our process is highly adaptable, certain chemical finishes on fabrics can reduce the effectiveness of the bond. To ensure optimal results, we begin with compatibility testing of each fabric. Please reach out to us for more detailed information on how to collaborate and overcome any material-specific challenges.
